30 days, 30 dresses: Day 7

I have been trying to figure out how to do that messy, 60’s high bun for quite some time now and finally buckled down and watched a ‘how to’ video online. Now I’m kind of obsessed and may wear my hair like this for a couple weeks – I’m apologizing in advance :) My classic hair style called for a more classic look and the random VW across the street from me was almost too good to be true – it was the perfect prop.

The beaded vintage cardigan was a great thrift store find and in perfect condition – like it had been sitting in someone’s closet for years untouched and unworn. When I find a good vintage piece I’m a happy happy girl. My pretty ordinary black Banana Republic dress went to extraordinary with the vintage cardigan and sparkly Kate Spade shoes. (those I found at the thrift store too!) Sometimes I wonder who these people are that get rid of such amazing stuff?? I’m not complaining, shooooot! My whole thrifted wardrobe depends on them!

Tip: If you want to learn how to do a certain kind of hair style, search the web! I learned how to do my high bun in the pictures from this girl’s blog: http://vimeo.com/35731164 – She did a little ‘how to’ video and I found it really helpful!
