A beret a day keeps the doctor away

Mondays have become my unofficial beret wearing day. The Museum I work at isn’t open to the public and the vacant atmosphere calls for something a little more low key – a beret! Image  (Sequin beret from Freestyle $8, faux fur scarf from Thrift Town $5.99, Ann Taylor top free at Clothing Swap)

Maybe it’s my affinity for the Parisian culture, but there’s something about a beret that brings a smile to my face. Image  (Vintage beret from the Sac Antique Faire $2, pearls and BCBG dress from Deseret Industries $2 & $20, Ninewest pumps from Freestyle $15)

Sometimes I fantasize about being back in Paris and dress the part to romanticize my time spent there in 2005. Image (Beret from Thrift Town $3.99, Ann Taylor dress from Freestyle $15, necklace from Sac Antique Faire $2.50, & tights from SPCA thrift $1!!!)

Memories of my wonderful visits to the Pompidou Museum, window shopping along the Champs-Elysées, and the most delectable desserts a girl has ever devoured would make any one nostalgic for all things French. Maybe one day I’ll be able to go back again, but till then I’ll wear my trustee beret and daydream instead…

If you’re thinking of adding a little flair to your fall/winter wardrobe this season try a beret. I’m convinced it’s the universal hat and looks great on just about anyone!

Have styling questions? Thrifting advice? Please feel free to ask.

Until next time…

Love,

The Dress Fiend
